The Basics: What's Required of Every Applicant
The two basic requirements are a matriculation certificate and a psychometric exam. In some programs the minimum psychometric threshold starts around 550 points, but this is only a starting point โ not a guarantee of admission, since acceptance is based on ranking candidates against the number of available spots.
Engineering Programs โ The High Threshold
In engineering programs the threshold is significantly higher, reaching around 680 psychometric points. The logic is simple: these are the programs with the highest demand and the heaviest math and physics requirements. Candidates with advanced-level matriculation in math and physics start from a better position.
What to Do If Your Psychometric Score Isn't Enough
- Pre-academic prep program โ a track that allows admission to the university through completing the prep program instead of improving your psychometric score.
- Retaking the psychometric exam โ you can retest; the higher score is the one counted.
- Alternative tracks โ some programs have admission tracks based on prior academic studies.
What to Check Before You Register
Beyond the threshold, it's worth checking three things: whether the program is opening a cohort in the semester you're planning, what tuition costs and whether you're eligible for a scholarship, and where you'll live โ since student housing in the city is a completely separate question.
